Master the One-Time Registration (OTR) process for SSC, UPSC, and State Boards. Create your profile once, apply for jobs in a single click.
In the past, candidates had to fill out their basic details (Name, DOB, Father’s Name, Address) every time they applied for a new job. To save time and reduce server load, major boards like SSC (Staff Selection Commission) and UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) have introduced the One-Time Registration (OTR) system.
Under OTR, you create a permanent profile on the official website. Once your OTR is verified, you will get a permanent Registration Number. For any future job notification, you just log in, and 80% of the application form will be auto-filled!
Go to the new official website of SSC: ssc.gov.in (Do not use the old ssc.nic.in website as it has been discontinued for new registrations).
On the top right corner, click the ‘Login/Register’ button, and then click on ‘Register Now’ under the OTR section.
Enter your Aadhar Card Number, Name exactly as per your 10th marksheet, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth. You have to type everything twice for verification.
Enter an active Mobile Number and Email ID. Click on ‘Send OTP’. Verify both OTPs to proceed. This is crucial as your password will be sent here.
Log in with the temporary password sent to your email, create a new strong password, and fill in your address and category details. Click ‘Final Submit’ to generate your permanent SSC Registration Number.
Visit upsconline.nic.in and click on the ‘One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations of UPSC’ button.
Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab. Provide your Name, Gender, DOB, Parents’ Names, Minority Status, Mobile, and Email ID.
After clicking submit, you will receive separate OTPs on your registered Mobile and Email. Enter them to validate your account.
Once verified, your UPSC OTR ID is generated. You can now log in using your Mobile Number/Email and OTP to apply for NDA, CDS, Civil Services, or CAPF directly from the dashboard.
Your OTR is your permanent digital identity for government jobs. Do not make these fatal errors:
